The Fringe is a showcase for the performing arts, present throughout Europe, born in Scotland but then developed in many other countries. It focuses on theatrical productions ranging from the classics of ancient Greece to William Shakespeare, Samuel Beckett and other contemporary works, and every year has millions of entries in the competition.
